525th Military Intelligence Brigade (Airborne)

The 525th Military Intelligence Brigade (Airborne) provides intelligence analysis
and collection support to the XVIII Airborne Corps, America's Contingency Corps.

The 525th Military Intelligence Brigade (Airborne) is the only rapidly deployable
Military Intelligence Brigade in the United States Army. It provides direct and
general support the XVIII Airborne Corps.

The Brigade Headquarters and two Airborne Battalions (the 319th Military
Intelligence Battalion (Operations) (Airborne) and the 519th Military Intelligence
Battalion (Tactical Exploitation) (Airborne)) are stationed at Fort Bragg, North
Carolina, and a third, the 224th Military Intelligence Battalion (Aerial Exploitation), is
at Hunter Army Airfield, GA.

The Brigade’s capabilities include a full range of advanced intelligence analysis
and intelligence collection that includes Counterintelligence, Long Range
Surveillance, Aerial Signals Intelligence, and Tactical Exploitation of National
Capabilities (TENCAP).  It’s soldiers come from across the range of Military
Occupational Specialties in the Army to include Military Intelligence disciplines,
Infantry, Aviation, Signal, and the full range of critical Combat Support and Combat
Service Support experts. As with other XVIII Airborne Corps units, the Brigade can
employ soldiers, along with equipment, to anywhere in the world in 18 hours. The
525th Military Intelligence Brigade Team of today, Active and Reserve Component,
carries on the proud traditions of service to the Nation that began in World War II
and continued through every contingency period since then. Today, Brigade
soldiers continue to reflect the tradition of combat readiness and mission focus
across the world in support of national defense.
